2025 Website News

Once again this year, only minor changes have been made to the HGS website. Details of our planned events in 2025 are now listed, and Mark Wray's President's Letter for 2025 is available on the website.

I have summarised the results from the 2024 events into the '2024' section of the  'Previous Years' area of the website, and the members and venues summaries of the 29 years of HGS have been updated.

 In recent weeks a 'password glitch' has affected a couple of members, preventing them getting into the Members page of the website. With the release of the details of the userid and password for use in 2025 in Mark's 2025 President's Letter, it is believed that the issue has now been resolved. * But please contact Peter Bollands if any future issues arise in this area *.

The HGS website is kept as up-to-date as is possible with forthcoming events, results and latest members' contact details and handicaps. The latest handicap indexes are obtained manually from the MyEG app (I usually update them every week or every other week in time for the next HGS event), but please communicate any other changes (eg contact detail changes) to me as soon as possible so they can be updated too.

If you spot any errors in other details on the website, please let me know and I will correct them.

I still intend to tidy-up and streamline all the historical records accessed through 'Previous Years' (which I started during Covid, but have still to finish for a few of the early years due to family commitments). The idea to is standardise and simplify the presentation and to make it more appropriate for access via tablets and smartphones (rather than on PCs and MACs).

Every effort continues to be made to protect personal information held on members and to prevent members receiving Spam communications. Please contact me if you have forgotten the latest password to gain access to the Members area.
