HGS History 2018 - Hull Exchange Challenge at Hull (26/04/18)

We were challenged to a 4-ball Better Ball team competition by the Hull Exchange Golf Society, a society similar to HGS in Hull, which contacted us towards the end of last year after reading about our exploits on the HGS website.

The same format as we use in the annual Fox Challenge match was used for the inaugural match. Each team played with 14 players making up 7 pairings. In the event, HGS was narrowly beaten 4-3 (although an honourable draw was declared!). The closeness of the competition has encouraged the organisers to repeat the event next year and to introduce a special trophy for the teams to compete for.
